Impact damage
Collisions, groundings and knocks against the jetty that crack or hole the laminate.
Fibreglass & carbon
Hull damage, cracks, wet core or tired gelcoat, fixed properly, layer by layer, and finished so you can’t tell where the damage was.
What we fix
Some damage is obvious. Some hides under the gelcoat until it gets expensive. These are the problems we see most.
Collisions, groundings and knocks against the jetty that crack or hole the laminate.
Spider and hairline cracks around fittings, corners and hard spots. Often a sign of flex.
Chips and fine crazing that look cosmetic but can let water into the laminate.
Layers of the laminate separating, leaving soft or hollow sounding spots when tapped.
Water soaked into the core through old fittings or cracks, making the deck or hull spongy.
Blisters below the waterline where moisture has worked its way into the laminate.
Fibreglass repair
A quick patch hides the problem. A proper repair rebuilds every layer of the laminate. Tap through each stage to see what goes into it.
Beyond repairs
Carbon fibre is lighter and stiffer than glass, and it needs care to repair properly. Morgan works with both, matching the original layup so the repair performs like the rest of the boat.
The same skills go into custom fibreglass parts: hatches, consoles, boxes and one-off modifications made to fit your boat.
